You share a WhatsApp link or a six-letter trip code. Anyone who taps the link or enters the code lands inside the trip — same itinerary, same ledger, same photo album. There are no access requests to approve and no roles to configure.

Never, and it can’t: TripSync connects to no bank, no UPI account, no wallet. It records what was spent and calculates who owes whom. The actual paying-back happens directly between you — UPI, cash, whatever your group uses.
To the paisa. ₹1,840 across six people becomes four shares of ₹306.67 and two of ₹306.66 — every last paisa placed, so the shares always reconcile exactly to the bill. Equal, weighted and itemised splits all work this way.
Over a trip, debts pile up in every direction — A owes B, B owes C, C owes A. At settle-up, TripSync nets all of it and computes the smallest set of transfers that clears every debt at once. Nine IOUs between four friends typically collapse into two or three payments.
Anyone in the trip can see every expense, and entries can be edited or deleted. Exact arithmetic on a wrong number is still a wrong total, so the ledger stays visible to the whole group — that transparency is the audit.
Yes. Trains are live Indian Railways data via RailRadar — real train numbers, real schedules, live running status. This is the one travel mode where TripSync shows you data, not guesses.
No, and that’s deliberate. Buses and flights are clearly-labelled estimates with deep links to IRCTC, RedBus and Google Flights — you book on the real thing, under their prices and policies. TripSync sells no tickets, which also means it adds no markups and no convenience fees.
OpenStreetMap — the openly-maintained map of the world. Real places with real locations, and nobody pays us for placement: there are no sponsored pins and no promoted listings, because there is no advertising in TripSync at all.
Two things. It drafts your itinerary — real places, sensible order, travel time between stops accounted for — as a starting point the group then edits. And it acts as a trip assistant: say “add ₹600 for cabs” or “move dinner to nine” and it stages that exact change for you to confirm.
No. Every action the assistant takes is shown to you first — the exact expense, the exact edit — and nothing touches the trip until you confirm it. It’s an assistant, not an unsupervised intern.
Your trip content is visible only to the people in your trip. We don’t sell personal data and we don’t show ads, so there’s no advertiser to share it with. The privacy policy spells this out in full.
