Every group trip we’ve taken started the same way: the group chat lights up, someone books the first thing, and for one week everything is exactly as good as you hoped.

Then the second story begins: three weeks of reminders, screenshots of half-remembered bills, and one friend quietly eating a debt to keep the peace.

None of it is hard
Splitting a bill is arithmetic. A plan is a list. But the plan lived in one person’s notes app, the bookings in six inboxes, and the money in a group chat — so the easiest problems in the world stayed unsolved for weeks.

One place for the trip to live
So we built the app we kept wishing existed: a plan everyone edits, travel data that’s honest about what’s live and what’s estimated, and maths precise enough that the trip ends when the trip ends — not a month later.
05 · Today
A small team, building carefully
One product, built slowly and honestly. No growth hacks, no inflated numbers, no “trusted by thousands” banner the week after launch.

Three principles, in writing

Real data, or labelled honestly

Train times are live Indian Railways data via RailRadar. Places come from OpenStreetMap. And where we only have estimates — buses, flights — we write “estimate” on them and link you to IRCTC, RedBus or Google Flights to book on the real thing. The line between data and guesswork stays drawn.

Your money is never our business

TripSync records expenses and calculates settlements — exact to the paisa, netted to the fewest payments. It holds nothing, moves nothing, and connects to no bank or UPI account. That’s not a feature we might monetise later; it’s the design.

Built for how India travels

Rupees and paise, railways and RedBus, invites that travel over WhatsApp because that’s where the trip was born. TripSync isn’t a global app with a currency dropdown — it’s built from the ground up for trips that start in an Indian group chat.
